Lettings latest: Hemway, ProVision, Hurstwood, Northern Trust
PREFAB maker Hemway has taken 38,000 sq ft at a warehouse on Lodge Road, Sandbach, Cheshire.
The Crewe firm has agreed a 10-year lease at a stepped rental between £1.50/sq ft and £3/sq ft with a private landlord.
Agent Simon Hampson, a partner at WHR, said: “Hemway was looking to expand in to new premises and we were able to agree a deal that suited their requirements.”
“There is now real momentum in the mid-Cheshire market with supply of quality of secondary stock diminishing at its most rapid pace in the last five years while demand for sub-50,000 sq ft for units remains strong; encouragingly, a lot of the enquiries are from the manufacturing sector.”

PROVISION, the broadcast equipment rental business, is moving to new premises in Trafford Park. The ITV Studios-owned business will relocate to a 16,000 sq ft unit at AK Worthington’s site close to MediaCity UK.
Working with AK Worthington and Russells Construction, it has created a bespoke office and storage facility which will house cameras, lighting, grip and sound rental equipment.
ProVision’s commercial manager, Graham Waite, said: “Finding a new facility in Manchester has been a carefully thought out project which considers ProVision’s long term future.
“The AK Worthington site has been a natural choice considering location, security of the site and the proactive approach AKW took to support what we wanted to achieve. With the move to a new base in Manchester, combined with our new London office making a real impact and continued investment in new technology, our team is well equipped for the future.”

It already occupies the first floor and now has around 4,000 sq ft in the building.
Managing director Richard Freye said: “Service Care Solutions has worked with Hurstwood since 2009. We have expanded significantly since our arrival into Marshall House and now occupy two floors.
“The office space that we have expanded into is used by our team to obtain hard-to-find candidates for specialist social care and legal roles across the North of England. This expansion facilitated by Hurstwood will enable us to recruit an additional 20 staff over the next two years.”
