New name for Liverpool Community College

LIVERPOOL Community College has changed its name to the City of Liverpool College, a move which it said will align it more closely with the city’s business sector.
As part of the name change the branding has also been updated at the college which claims to be the largest provider of apprentices for businesses in the country.
Principal Elaine Bowker, pictured, said: “The name change and rebrand is a small part of our continued move to align the college closely with the city.
“We are playing and will continue to play a vital part in Liverpool’s future economic success, providing the skills the city needs and investing in existing and new projects which will play a crucial role in ensuring local people benefit from the jobs being created in Liverpool’s key growth sectors, sectors from tourism, to the Superport to the green energy industry. Our name change is a declaration of our commitment to the city, in particular the community which is still central to our whole ethos as a college.”
Liverpool-based marketing firm Kenyon Fraser rebranded the college which has around 17,000 students a year.
