Project One revenues set to top £20m for first time

A CHESHIRE business consultancy, which helps large organisations implement change, is on track to celebrate its 15th anniversary with record financial results.
Holmes Chapel-based Project One expects revenues to top £20m for the first time this year, from £18.1m in 2012, and is expecting further growth to its 100-strong team – headcount is up 15% so far this year.
Founded by managing director Ian Hellens, a former Barclays programme manager, Project One works with a number of major corporates including FTSE 100 businesses, to improve performance by creating and leading strategic projects such as merger integration or implementing new IT systems.
Its work with internationally-focused businesses has seen its team members working as far afield as India, Singapore and South Africa.
Clients have included AstraZeneca, Rolls Royce, BAE Systems, Direct Line Group, Morrisons, The Co-operative Group, Hiscox, United Utilities and Virgin Media.
Ian Hellens said, “It has been a remarkable journey with so many special memories created along the way and every single one of our incredible achievements have filled me with immense pride.”
To celebrate its strong performance and 15th anniversary, Project One is supporting Crewe-born Olympic rower Matt Langridge in the run-up to the next Olympics in 2016. Mr Hellens is also mentoring him in terms of career direction after he retires from sport.
Matt Langridge said: “It’s always fantastic to have a company supporting you and in particular Project One, as for me they are a local company who share my values and determination to succeed.
“I hope that with their help I can complete my medal set and win gold in Rio.”
