Lettings latest: On the Banks; AA Projects; John Sutch

THE Prince’s Trust has agreed a 10-year lease on a converted mill at the heart of the On the Banks scheme in Burnley, formerly known as the Weaver’s Triangle.
The charity will move into the 11,500 sq ft office in March and rename the former Sandygate Mill the Pennine Lancashire Centre. It will be its base for youth training and employment projects across east Lancashire.
It expects to help 600 people a year and a further 150 through its personal development Fairbridge programme.
Jonathan Townsend, North of England director of The Prince’s Trust said: “We’re very excited about moving to our new centre. Location of services is absolutely vital in delivering our programmes, particularly in an area with high levels of youth unemployment, as is the case in Burnley and its surrounding area. Last year The Trust helped over 5,000 disadvantaged young people in the North West, with three in four moving into work, education or training.”
Barnfield Construction is handling the scheme after already completing a university technical college at One the Banks. The value of the project is £2.2m.

CRANE operator John Sutch has opened a new depot in Manchester.
The family firm has opened a larger, upgraded depot, based at Clark Industrial Estate on St Modwen Road in Trafford Park.
The two-acre site has a office block, garage and workshops.
The Liverpool firm, which already has a site in Trafford Park, has seen growth in sectors such as energy and healthcare. It said the second depot will help service these expanding sectors.
Managing director John Sutch said “This move will help facilitate our objectives of growing our market share within the region and increasing turnover from the Manchester site by at least 20% in the year ahead. We also intend to invest further in our machinery and equipment, ensuring we sustain a commitment to operating one of the most comprehensive fleets in the North.”
