Acquisition hungry MC2 seeks advice on potential targets
MARKETING agency MC2 has North West-based Tenon as accountant and business adviser as it goes on the acquisition trail.

MARKETING agency MC2 has North West-based Tenon as accountant and business adviser as it goes on the acquisition trail.

The decision follows MC2’s recent expansion, which includes the acquisition of consumer PR agency Vertigo in January.

Tenon will now work closely with the marketing firm’s management team to identify further acquisition targets, as well as auditing the company’s accounts and advising on a range of taxation services.

Mike Perls, MC2’s chief executive and founder, said: “We have an ambitious growth plan in place for the next three years, and to achieve our goals it was essential to bring in the services of a firm that views our objectives from an entrepreneurial stance.

“The team at Tenon has a firm and well deserved reputation for advising fast growing businesses like ours, and we are already reaping the benefits of their involvement.”

Peter Donnelly, regional managing director at Tenon in Bolton, said that MC2 was an ambitious business, and exactly the kind of enterprise that Tenon relished the opportunity to work with.

“As the business looks forward to fulfilling its exciting growth plans, we will be working alongside the management team to make important decisions about the company’s future,” he added.

Manchester-based MC2 was founded in 1999 and is the only marketing agency outside of London to offer a financial PR service to quoted firms.

Clients include well known names such as HSBC Private Bank, CB Richard Ellis, Cobbetts, Optare and Kraft Foods.
