Cheshire law firm Taylor Legal folds

CHESHIRE law firm Taylor Legal has ceased trading with six job losses after falling into administration.

The Crewe-based personal injury and payment protection insurance firm, which operated from the Brierley Business Centre, appointed David Wilson of Leeds -based DFW Associates  last week.

Nottingham practice Burton & Burton Solicitors acquired Taylor Legal’s workload of around 3,000 live files – the majority being PPI claims.

Mr Wilson said: “The business closed immediately upon my appointment as administrator and all staff were made redundant.

“The firm, like many others, had struggled with both the general downturn in trade and also difficulties with funding their Indemnity Insurance renewal.”
