Redrow completes South Cheshire College deal

HOUSEBUILDER builder Redrow has completed its acquisition of a 3.8-acre development site from South Cheshire College in Crewe.

The site in Danebank Avenue was first marketed in 2007 but withdrawn from sale following the downturn.

The value of the deal was not disclosed.

Legat Owen were instructed to bring the site back to the market in September 2012 and following a competitive bidding process, Redrow was identified as the preferred developer.

Redrow Homes land director Alex Wood said: “We are delighted to have secured the site which will enable us to continue our growth strategy developing quality family homes within our Heritage portfolio.”

Legat Owen Director Stephen Wade said: “The quality of the site is such that it attracted strong interest from the UK’s leading house builders. Redrow were selected as preferred developer having impressed the College with the all round quality of their offer.”
