STA Travel to stay at St George’s House

TRAVEL agent STA Travel has renewed its lease at St George’s House in Peter Street, Manchester.
It has taken a further five years on 7,000 sq ft spread across the sixth and seventh floors at the building which is owned by St George’s Developments, the private property company of Ged Mason, chief executive of international recruitment firm, Morson Group.
St George’s has carried out a £250,000 facelift of the main reception and is refurbishing vacant floors which can accommodate office requirements of between 6,900 sq ft to 29,100 sq ft.
Richard Lace, associate director at OBI Property and joint letting agent, said: “For STA Travel to commit to remain in St George’s House for a further five years illustrates the pragmatic approach the landlord is willing to adopt to ensure we retain existing tenants and attract new ones to the building.
“Over the coming months we will be starting the speculative refurbishment of the vacant office floors. The quality of the accommodation that will be on offer, coupled with the excellent location – close to the newly refurbished town hall, city library and transformed St Peter’s Square – will ensure the building continues to be extremely appealing to a large number of Manchester businesses.”
OBI Property and Canning O’Neill are joint letting agents at the buiding.
