Man City scoop football hospitality title

MANCHESTER City is celebrating winning an award for its off the pitch activities.

The club, which has invested heavily in its corporate offering to win Best Football Club Hospitality at the 2013 Football Business Awards in London.
 
City fought off competition from four Premiership rivals, including Chelsea and Manchester United, to win award a ceremony at Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge ground last week.

The judges, commented that Manchester City’s hospitality “Occupancy figures and the sheer number of improvements were mightily impressive.”

There was also praise for the “highly innovative” facilities and “strong partnerships”  designed to improve the match experience for visitors.

Danny Wilson, director of sales, service and operations at Manchester City Football Club, said: “The club has grown from strength to strength and we’ve strived to ensure that our entire hospitality offering delivers consistently high standards and value for money for guests.  

“We receive lots of great feedback about our dynamic hospitality spaces from guests each week, but it’s great to have our hard work recognised at a national awards ceremony.”  

The award follows the club’s Stadium Tour winning the Best Small Visitor Attraction at the Manchester Tourism Awards earlier this month.
