Chamber showcases foreign trade opportunities

COMPANIES from across Greater Manchester are being encouraged to take advantage of business opportunities in other countries where economies remain strong.
Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce has scheduled a number of foreign trade visits throughout September to facilitate this trade.
One of these is a trip to a security seminar in Poland between September 20 and 23.
Chris Fletcher, deputy chief executive of Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, said: “Poland was the only European country with a positive rate of growth last year.
“There are a wide range of opportunities in the country’s security sector including CCTV, upgrading security systems at airports and anti-terrorist security systems.”
Earlier this summer, representatives of Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce hosted a meeting with the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates.
There will also be a trip to the world’s leading trade fair for the automotive industry in Munich between September 14 and 19.
The event is aimed at companies in the automotive industry looking for partners for commercial or technological projects.
In addition to these visits there will be a free event at Manchester Airport for companies in the chemical industry on September 22.
Chemical Trade Officers from British embassies and consulates across the globe will attend the event.
The day will consist of one-to-one appointments which will give delegates a flavour of the opportunities for their products and services.
