Bott & Co sees gain in flight delay pain

A CHESHIRE law firm has expanded its services to act for unhappy air passengers after agreeing a £1m funding line.

Founded in 2001, Bott & Co has annual turnover of more than £11m and as well as its head office in Wilmslow, has sites in London, Manchester and Leeds.

When the personal injury firn aw an opportunity to expand its client base and portfolio of work, it approached long term lender Lloyds Bank for funding support to develop a new flight delay compensation recovery service.

The service, which is designed to encourage airlines to improve their reliability under EU Regulation 261, helps passengers to claim compensation for flights that have been delayed by three hours or more.
If successful, the claimant can demand compensation of up to €600 from the responsible airline.

The facility has added to Bott & Co’s industry credentials, and helped to secure the firm an innovation award win at the recent Law Society Excellence Awards.

Bott & Co has also generated over 10000 new clients in nine months since introducing the service.
