Three Wirral firms benefit from RGF cash

WIRRAL Council has supported three companies with Regional Growth Fund cash.

Taxi-booking firm Cabfind, engineering business FPI North West, and Riverview Law have all secured undisclosed amounts to support future growth and job creation.

Birkenhead-based Cabfind, which is creating 30 jobs, said the money will be used to set up a software development centre.

FPI, also in Birkenhead, plans to take on an extra four staff as it targets the offshore wind sector with the sales and servicing of fluid-powered components and systems.

Bromborough-based Riverview, a fixed price legal services business, will use the grant to invest in its IT systems.

Councillor Pat Hackett, cabinet member for the economy, said: “The three companies operate in very different fields but all have demonstrated a commitment to Wirral and solid trading histories with the promise of bright futures if we can help them to invest further in their IT, plant, machinery and most importantly, their staff.”
