ISP completes order for 6,500 life jackets

LIVERPOOL-based International Safety Products (ISP) has made 6,500 lifejackets for the Polish Army, the largest single order in the company’s history.

The work was secured through its distribution partner in the country and is part of a contract worth more than £1.2m.

Managing director John Rogers said: “Securing the largest single order in our history is a real landmark moment for ISP and we are thrilled to see further progress in the Eastern European markets.

“We see great potential for our high quality lifejackets with the military in Poland. We manufactured these in our factory on Merseyside and then exported to the Polish Army for use in some of the most demanding and hazardous environments in the world. This deal again helps to showcase ISP’s design and manufacturing capabilities being able to deliver bespoke products tailored to the individual needs on a major scale.”

ISP, founded in 1981, employs more than 100 people and has sales of around £7m.
