REAL estate consultancy Altus Edwin Hill has bought Warrington-based property agency Eileen Bilton Partnership.

Eileen Bilton Partnership, which is based in Warrington, grew out of the property team of the Warrington & Runcorn New Town Development Corporation in 1988.

Its name became well-known for its TV advertising campaign promoting business relocation to Runcorn and Warrington.

Post- acquisition the agency will be known as Altus Eileen Bilton.

Altus Edwin Hill is a national player and has regional head offices at the Royals, just off the M56 at Sharston.

Steve Richmond, head of agency, said: “The acquisition of this long established and highly regarded company strategically expands our agency business in the North West.

“Eileen Bilton complements our best-in-class organisation with a talented, specialised team who have enjoyed a long history of being one of the region’s most active agents”.

Eileen Bilton Partnership is currently marketing over one million sq ft of office and industrial space across the North West.

Colin Cawley of Eileen Bilton said “We have a long history of working with Altus Edwin Hill and joining them provides us with an excellent opportunity to expand our already substantial regional presence with a larger agency team and at an ideal time to meet the demands of an improving economy and property market.”

Eileen Bilton herself is no longer involved in the business which continues to bear her name. Two key staff will be transferring over to Altus Edwin Hill.
