Innova completes £2m college contract

STOCKPORT furniture manufacturer Innova Design Solutions has completed a £2m up-grade of the science facilities at Rochdale’s Hopwood Hall College.

Innova designed and re-fitted four laboratories and a preparation room at the college, which has campuses in Middleton and Rochdale.

Saf Arfan, director for corporate services at Hopwood Hall, said: “The modernisation of our science labs was part of a wider capital renewal programme, funded through the Skills Funding Agency. Key teaching buildings central to the delivery of life sciences were subjected to a comprehensive refurbishment programme valued at £2.2m.

“The science labs posed a number of design challenges but Innova produced a creative design that transformed the look and both staff and students were overwhelmed by the design and functionality.”

Innova, which is based in Heaton Chapel, designs, manufactures, supplies and installs furniture for projects across the education sector.
