Barclays building sold in £8.3m deal

THE building that houses Barclays’ flagship Manchester branch has been sold for £8.35m.

Surrey-based Bayswater Properties has sold the property at 86-88 Market Street to an unnamed investment company.

Altrincham law firm Myerson acted for Bayswater while Jeremy Rubin of Jeremy Rubin & Co acted as the selling agent. Jersey-based JTC Group also advised the seller.

Richard Lloyd, head of property at Myerson, said: “The firm was delighted to have worked alongside Jeremy Rubin & Co and the JTC team in bringing the sale of this well-known city centre property to completion.”

Barclays will continue to occupy the building.
