White Recycling in Lancashire swoop

A FAMILY-owned waste management company has made a double acquisition in Lancashire.

Manchester-based White Recycling, which is run by managing director David White, a former England and Manchester City footballer, has bought the assets of Enviro Skips and SkipXpress, which are both located near Burnley.

White Recycling said the investment is part of its strategic expansion plans to widen its geographical coverage throughout the North West and buy further waste treatment facilities.

Established more than 50 years ago, and until three years ago known as White Reclaimation, White Recycling is now one of the North West’s largest processors of commercial, industrial and construction waste.

The company has sites in Manchester and Liverpool and recovers and processes around 150,000 tonnes of waste a year and operates a fleet of more than 40 vehicles.

David White, commented: “Following our continual growth over the past few years, plans for further expansion have been put in place. Increasing our coverage to North East Lancashire will allow us to service customers more efficiently and offer broader geographical coverage.”
