James Fisher snaps up Subsea Vision

MARINE Services group James Fisher will expand its services to the offshore energy sector after acquiring a business that specialises in underwater surveys and construction support to the oil and gas industry.

Barrow-based James Fisher, which globally serving a range of sectors, has bought Dorset-based Subsea Vision for £2.5m.

It owns and operates remotely operated vehicles providing underwater surveys, inspections and construction support. It has worked on projects around the North and Baltic seas.

Profit before tax in the year to March 31 was £400,000. Net Assets were £700,000.

James Fisher’s chief executive Nick Henry said: “The acquisition of Subsea Vision is a further step in our growth, providing niche specialist services for the offshore energy sector.”
