Daisy logs in with Virgin Media

DAISY Group, the Lancashire-based national telecoms and IT supplier to SMEs, has won a contract to supply Virgin Media customers with service and maintenance support.

Daisy said it had entered a five year framework agreement to provide services to its Enterprise customers, such as project-based consultancy and professional services support.

It did not disclose the financial terms of the relationship, or the potential revenues or earnings, but described it as “the first milestone” in the growth of its IT services division.

The division, which forms a part of the wholesale business, is a UK-wide engineering and professional services force, with over 250 engineers and support staff.

Daisy chief executive Matthew Riley said: “Over the last year the group has acquired businesses that have represented a strong strategic fit, with particular emphasis on bolstering Daisy’s partner services offering and a continued movement away from the declining fixed-line market.

“This is an area where we see significant opportunity for continued growth and investment. Today’s agreement demonstrates the scale and confidence in Daisy’s partner offering, with Virgin benefiting from our multi-vendor specialist maintenance and support services across both legacy and cloud-based solutions.”
