EON Reality to host virtual reality workshop

3D SOFTWARE provider EON Reality, is holding a free ‘virtual reality for edutainment and industries’ workshop with talks by experts including Hollywood director Pierre De Lespinois.

The event is to celebrate the first anniversary of opening its European headquarters in Manchester will be held on Thursday 10 April from 9.30am to 5pm at its Interactive Digital Centre in Central Park, east Manchester.

It will include a series of talks by international experts throughout the day including Hollywood director Pierre De Lespinois who will talk about new trends in edutainment development – Hollywood meets Silicon Valley; Professor Lee Sing Kong, director of National Institute of Education, Singapore who will discuss Virtual 3D Learning – Classroom of the Future; and former senior engineering associate at ExxonMobil Joe Cheben will explain how the oil and gas industry is using virtual reality and augmented reality to improve training and safety.

The day will also include a tour of the facilities and the opportunity to test-drive the latest virtual and augmented reality technologies.
