Frostbite Refrigeration gets Growth Hub support

A COMPANY that supplies fridge and freezer trucks to  clients including ASDA, McDonald’s, the NHS and John Lewis says it is set to grow by 400% over the next three years.

Stretford-based Frostbite was founded in 1997 but new owner Andrew Fowler, who bought the business last year, has received support from the Greater Manchester Business Growth Hub to explore new ways to bring in more business and find new markets.

The company now has a strategy to grow from £100,000 turnover to £500,000 within the next three years.

The expansion will target local government, NHS and regional organisations, extending over the three years to national and international clients.

Frostbite plans to employ up to 10 more people, primarily to manage delivery, sales and administration functions and will also be funding new equipment to meet customer demand.

Mr Fowler said: “Having bought the company last year I knew we had a great business model with the potential to expand. We work with everyone from wedding parties to the police but we just needed to be very clear on how and where we are going to focus our growth for the next three years.

“The Hub were able to help us to quantify our aspirations into a tangible action plan and we are now fully on track to push Frostbite into a very positive and dominant position for the future.”
