Property appointments: Cheetham and Mortimer promotes two to partner, JLL takes on shopping centre manager

MANCHESTER-based property consultancy Cheetham & Mortimer has promoted two members of its team to partner.

Andy Guest and Rob Millington will both be given an equity share in the practice in recognition of their long term to the company.

Millington, who heads up investment for the practice, has successfully completed transactions up to £40million in value throughout the UK, acting for a range of national clients including funds, property companies, developers and operators.

Recent transactions include a food store acquisition in Brighton for Morrisons, the procurement of development funding for St Modwen on a foodstore development in North Wales and the sale of a retail warehouse park in Chester to Waitrose.

Guest advises a number of national multiple retailers and landlords of retail property in relation to professional matters including rent reviews and lease renewals. His clients include Marks & Spencer Simply Food, Manchester-based landlords Peel Investments, Bruntwood and Greater Manchester Pension Fund.

Warwick Smither, partner at Cheetham & Mortimer, said: “The promotion of Andy and Rob demonstrates our company’s continued ambition.

“We are committed to provide a tailored service of the highest quality to the leading players in the UK retail property market.

“We are delighted to be able to make these appointments to mark their success but also, importantly, to show competitors, peers and clients that we are constantly adapting to clients’ requirements and conditions in the marketplace.”
