Rebrand for Buttress Fuller Alsop Williams

MANCHESTER Architect Buttress Fuller Alsop Williams has rebranded and moved offices.

The practice is dropping its long name and will be known only as Buttress.

The firm specialises in regeneration and heritage work and bolstered its residential and masterplanning work, when ex-MBLA staff joined in late 2012.

Managing director Gavin Sorby said: “We knew our brand needed to be looked at for a long time; the long name and fussy graphic just didn’t represent us as the approachable, straightforward and design led practice that we are; and when we got together with MBLA, the need to change became even more pressing.

“We have a strong reputation in a number of sectors that we didn’t want to lose, and so we are now simply Buttress. It’s obvious perhaps, but the result of a very reflective and intensive process which was really valuable; and we know the end result is the right one.”
