Lettings latest: Aegon extends lease at Exchange Quay, and more

DUTCH life insurance and pension firm Aegon has extended its lease at Exchange Quay in Salford.
It has agreed a 10-year lease on 4,140 sq ft at the Number 8 building, moving from Number 3.
The 433,000 sq ft office park is undergoing a £10m refurb after being bought by Hunter Real Estate Investment Managers on behalf of a North American investor last year.
Andrew Moffat, investment manager at Hunter, said: “We are delighted that Aegon UK is committing to Exchange Quay for another 10 years. Our planning application has unveiled our plans for significantly improving not only the quality of office accommodation here but also the working environment for all our tenants and we look forward to retaining and attracting further occupiers in the forthcoming months.”

MANCHESTER public relations firm Smoking Gun has moved offices, swapping Quay House in Quay Street for 64 Bridge Street.
It has taken 2,200 sq ft at the building which is owned by John and Fiona Brodie.
The firm is moving to gain more space after seeing its team grow to 13 people in four years.

THE Sequence Group of residential estate agents has renewed its lease on 113-115 Main Street, Frodsham where it trades as Swetenhams Estate Agents.
The premises have been home to the agent for the last 10 years.
The four-storey building has 1,500 sq ft and the lease has been renewed for a further five years at £17,000 a year.
