IoD moves HQ in Bruntwood tie-up

THE Institute of Directors in the North West is planning to roll-out a series of business lounges, or so-called hubs, through a tie-up with landlord Bruntwood.

It already has its regional headquarters and members’ lounge at City Tower in Manchester, a building Bruntwood sold to Schroders for £132m last month.

The IoD is now moving to Bruntwood’s nearby Lowry House as part of a deal that will see it launch business hubs at other Bruntwood buildings.

The City Tower members’ lounge will close on June 20 and reopen at Lowry House the following Monday which the IoD said will have a “more modern, flexible working space”.

Rachel Smith, the North West regional director at the IoD, said: “It is essential that our organisation adapts its methods and offerings to bring value to its members. From our new prime city centre location to the new added benefits of space and flexibility, we are committed to continually driving regional business and encouraging economic growth. We also look forward to welcoming a new member to the team at this turning point for the IoD North West.”

Colin Sinclair, director of property marketing at Bruntwood comments: “Here at Bruntwood we see long term relationships and networking as fundamentals of good business and we are proud to be able to extend our partnership with the IoD. The new business lounge at Lowry House in the heart of Manchester city centre is just one example of how we are changing the face of workspace and bringing forward new innovation to our buildings and services.”
