M&G secures ‘largest’ NW industrial let of the year

M&G Real Estate has let a 162,116 sq ft warehouse and distribution unit near Flint to Austrian group Mayr-Melnhof Packaging.

M&G described the deal as the largest industrial deal in the region this year.

The group, which already has a base at Deeside, has agreed a 10-year lease at Expressway 56 on Fourth Avenue on the Deeside Industrial Estate, near the M56.

The moves follows Mayr-Melnhof’s 2012 decision to close a production site in Aintree, Liverpool with the loss of 109 jobs. Last year the 160,000 sq ft former factory was put on the market. No one at the company could be reached to discuss the latest letting.

Their occupation was secured with no void period following the previous tenant vacating, which is testament to the quality and location of the unit and the market dynamics the region is currently experiencing.”
