Property briefs: New Rainhill homes; Pervaiz Naviede adds to portfolio; Orbit instructs CBRE

PLANS to create a new housing development in Rainhill, Merseyside, have been given the go-ahead by St Helens Council.
Developer Countryside deliver 89 homes on the former Oak Tyres site in Warrington Road.
Peter Vella, regional sales and marketing director for Countryside, said: “We are delighted to have received planning approval for Stephenson Grove and the response we have had to our proposals is evidence of the local appetite for high quality new homes in Rainhill.
“Months of planning and design consultation have successfully brought us to a point where we are preparing to begin building work at the development, which will provide the St Helens property market with a fresh selection of exceptional new homes with an affordable price tag.”

THE Pervaiz Naviede Family Trust has added the Crofton Hall in Aigburth to its residential property portfolio.
The £4.2m acquisition comprises 26 properties in a 2.5 acre estate, including the original mansion house with 11 apartments, and a further 15 houses.
The acquisition is the latest in a series by the trust across the north as it expands its private rented sector (PRS) portfolio to more than £75m and 675 properties.
Renovated and developed in 2008, the mansion house was originally built in the mid 1800s for Alfred Holt, founder of the Blue Funnel Shipping Line.
The properties will be managed by the Pervaiz Naviede Family Trust’s residential arm, LPC Living, which is based in Salford.
The Crofton Estate was marketed by Allsop on behalf of an administrator. The Manchester office of law firm Gateley advised the Pervaiz Naviede Family Trust and Zameero Ltd acted as broker.

CBRE has been appointed to market five properties in central and south Manchester totalling 102,700 sq ft.
The appointment includes the 35,000 sq ft at Parkway Business Centre, off the princess Parkway; the 26,500 sq ft Cavendish House building in Sale; 12,000 sq ft at Kingsley Hall, Manchester Airport; and two separate buildings of 21,500 sq ft and 7,700 sq ft – Southgate 2 & 3 – on Wilmslow Road in Cheadle.
