TIMco ready for growth with new warehouse

TIMco, one of the UK’s largest independent supplier of screws and fixings, has invested £800,000 in a new 21,000 sq ft warehouse at its head office site in Nantwich.

The new facilities will help the company meet growing demand and allow it to extend its product ranges.  The warehouse will stock more than 3,500 different product lines and improve availability to protect customers against potential supply disruptions.  Five new jobs will be created as a result of the investment, taking the workforce to 80.

Managing director Simon Midwood said: “The extra room will allow us to offer new and exciting products as well as provide an even better service to our customers.

“We’re also thrilled to be able to bring more employment opportunities in the local area and the development is a further illustration of our commitment to Nantwich and Cheshire.”

Founded in Chester in 1972 by the late Tim Midwood, Simon’s father,  the company initially focused on importing a small range of nylon lock nuts and self tapping screws from the Far East. It is now one of the UK’s leading importers and wholesale suppliers of screws, fastenings fixings, nails and power tool accessories.
