Cord bar building up for grabs

THE building that is home to Cord bar in a Northern Quarter back street is up at auction this month.

The fully let residential and commercial Dorsey Street property generates an annual rent of £56,000 and has a guide price of £775,000-£825,000.

Tony Webber, director and auctioneer at Eddisons said: “This is a tremendous investment in a popular location. The lucky buyer has the opportunity to asset manage the residential element and increase the income position.”

Other lots at the auction on September 16 include a part-tenanted commercial property in Urmston town centre with a guide price of £175,000-£200,000, and two fully let units within the Hawksley Street Industrial Estate in Oldham for £375,000-£400,000.

There is also the site of the former Poet’s Corner pub within the Hag Fold area of Atherton. Outline planning is in place for the demolition of the existing buildings and the erection of 12 residential properties. The guide is £200,000.

In total there are 39 lots in the sale at the Premier Inn, Trafford Park, Manchester. The auction starts at 12.30pm.
