Engineer acquires Knowsley unit in £1m deal

STUDLEY Engineering is moving from Liverpool city centre after buying a 58,000 sq ft unit in Knowsley.

It has acquired Hansen Glass’ former unit in Hornhouse Lane at Knowsley Industrial Park for £1m.

Studley, which specialises in mechanical and electrical services to industry, is moving from Vulcan Street in the city centre.

CBRE and B8 Real Estate advised the vendor while Mason Owen acted for Studley.

Darren Hill, associate director at CBRE, said: “There has been a flurry of activity for second hand space of this type during 2014 and it comes down to a lack of readily available stock to satisfy requirements, which is indicative of the returning confidence to the sector. It is pleasing to see companies like Studley not only growing but also investing within the region.”

Hansen Glass is part of the Danish HansenGroup.
