Lake District time share scheme on the market

A CUMBRIAN  timeshare scheme and one of the largest undeveloped sites with planning consent in the Lake District National Park have been put on the market.

Owner Keswick Bridge is hoping for offers of more than £600,000 for the freehold of a 3.1 acre site with planning permission for 53 timeshare properties or other development, subject to planning consent.

Offers of more than £500,000 are also being invited for the freehold of a further 0.65 acre site subject to a lease, which is developed with 23 timeshare lodges and includes the businesses which own the timeshare weeks and manages the property.

Colliers International is also seeking offers for a third plot of land with a two-storey standalone office and reception lodge, which is only available to the purchaser of Lot 1 or 2.

Richard Moss, director at Colliers International, said: “This represents a rare and excellent opportunity to acquire one of the largest property developments in Keswick of recent years and what is thought to be one of if not, the largest undeveloped planning consent in the entire Lake District National Park.

“The property sits on the banks of the River Greta in Keswick, one of the most popular visitor destinations in the Lake District and we are confident of attracting a strong level of interest from potential buyers.”
