BRAND marketing agency, Clock Creative, has made a senior hire as part of strategic growth plans.

The Ramsbottom-based agency has appointed René Power as a director, with a key focus on growing its client base.  Power, who has 15 years’ agency experience joins from Altrincham agency BDB.

He said: “The agency is unquestionably set up to scale with a solid existing client base, an experienced team and an unrivalled strategic marketing model. I’m confident we’ll be announcing some exciting things as we move through 2015.”

CHESTER-based payment technology and prepaid card provider Tuxedo Money Solutions has appointed Rob Darby as head of relationship management for its travel sector clients.

Darby has more than 20 years’ years experience in the sector and has previously worked for Airtours / MyTravel, Travelex and Access Prepaid and Mastercard.

Working closely with key account, STA Travel he has already overseen the implementation of a prepaid travel card in Australia and Germany, with further global markets due to launch in 2015.

Tuxedo secured the deal with STA Travel after working closely with the student travel specialist to develop its STA ISIC (International Student Identity Card) Cashcard in June 2013.

THE Manchester office of  national law firm Mills & Reeve has hired Charlotte Shaughnessy as a solicitor in its private tax team.

Shaughnessy joins from Altrincham firm Myers Lister Price and prior to that worked at Irwin Mitchell in Sheffield.

Deborah Clark, head of private tax in Manchester, said: “Charlotte brings a wealth of experience advising clients on their personal tax and estate planning issues and will be a welcome addition to the team.”

LANDWOOD Group, the Manchester-based chartered surveyors, asset managers and auctioneers has appointed Michael Fitzpatrick as a senior surveyor.

Fitzpatrick,  who joins Landwood, which has offices in Leeds, Birmingham and London, from ES Group. He specialises in property valuation, management and disposal and is based at Landwood’s Manchester office on Peter Street.

He has been a surveyor for more than seven years. His initial role was as a graduate surveyor at Edward Symmons, now the ES Group, in the valuation and corporate recovery department, before becoming a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in April 2010 and being promoted to a senior surveyor in April 2012.

WEALTH management firm Equilibrium Asset Management has appointed an additional five staff, comprising an investment analyst, three new client managers and a compliance manager.

Neal Foundly, has been appointed as investment analyst from Royal London Asset Management. Joining the client management team are Simon Yarwood, Lisa Davies and Jamie Moynihan, while Victoria Pearce has been hired as compliance manager.

Colin Lawson, managing partner of Equilibrium Asset Management, said: “2014 has been our best year on record, we’ve already taken up more office space and we have plans to keep expanding.”
