New era for Innov8 after sale

A WIRRAL construction industry consultancy has been sold to a larger group in a deal that will allow it to offer extra services to clients.
Birkenhead-based Innov8 Safety Solutions has been acquired by Gateshead company Lucion Environmental for an undisclosed sum.
Innov8, which advises on construction design and site safety, last week revealed its 2014 revenues had increased from £440,000 to £700,000.
Vendor and Innov8 managing director Alan Robson, who is remaining with the business, said the company will operate independently under the Lucion banner as a subsidiary.
However, it will benefit from being able to access additional resource within the Lucion group to strengthen its overall client offering.
Robson said: “We would like to make clear from the outset that there will be absolutely no interruption or change to our service. Innov8 will remain as a separate legal entity, which I will continue to lead as the managing director, supported by the existing Innov8 team, across our existing offices. The key message we want to deliver is that this development will further enhance our client offering.
“We have long admired the quality of service that Lucion offers to its clients. Together we will be an even more effective and responsive organisation. Clients will benefit from cutting-edge technology and methodologies on which Lucion has built its success over the last decade.”
Founded in 2002 by Dr Patrick Morton and Charles Pickles, Lucion Environmental has offices across the UK and an office in Singapore to service the marine market.
Pickles said the deal will benefit Lucion’s customers who will now have one point of call to mitigate a broader range of environmental risks.
“Innov8 has an enviable reputation for independent pragmatic professionalism, which we shall maintain. It has been a genuine pleasure to work with Alan and his team over the last few months and we are all now looking forward to capitalising upon our enhanced service offering.”
