Six figure funding deal for country retreat

THE Inn at Whitewell, in Lancashire’s Trough of Bowland beauty spot, has arranged a six-figure funding facility with NatWest as part of its business growth aspirations.
Located near Clitheroe, the Inn is an 18th Century country inn with 23 individual luxury guest bedrooms and a multi-award-winning restaurant serving locally sourced produce.
The Inn is a popular wedding venue and also caters for walkers and anglers requiring a touch of luxury from their accommodation.
The business also incorporates Bowland Forest Vintners, an independent wine wholesaler and retailer, and the grounds of the Inn includes The Piggeries – a stunning holiday home which is perfect for families or groups of friends wanting to explore the glories of this area of outstanding natural beauty.
The Inn at Whitewell is a new customer of NatWest leisure sector specialist Ian Brown.
Charles Bowman, managing director, said: “We are excited by our move to NatWest, having become increasingly disenchanted with our previous bankers. We spent some time in discussions with Ian and now feel we have a bank that understands the leisure industry and our place in it, and is able to make decisions quickly at a local level.”
Brown said: “I am delighted to support the Inn at Whitewell with their switch of banks and very much look forward to working closely with the business over the next few years.
“Part of our package included additional funding towards future capital expenditure plans to assist the business with its growth aspirations.
“My portfolio consists of many leisure businesses in the Ribble Valley and beyond and I am delighted to welcome Charles and his team to NatWest.”
