Media mix: Teenage kicks for digital agency; Journey 9 award & more

A TEENAGE prodigy who founded and created entertainment website Wizzed.com has appointed Manchester digital marketing agency Cube3 to help launch a new health and fitness site.
Launched in January 2014 by 16-year-old Arran Rice, Wizzed.com covers news topics, entertainment and viral content.
Following this success, Cheshire boy Arran is keen to expand his portfolio with the launch of Purious.com, which will be dedicated to providing health and fitness advice.
Currently sitting his A Levels in IT, business studies, media studies and geography, Arran started acquiring, developing and selling websites aged 11.
After purchasing Wizzed.com at an online auction in early 2014, he now works with a team of 15 authors, developers, designers and marketers.
He bought the domain for Purious.com in March and his team will now focus on providing an online destination for users to read interesting, unique and shareable content on health and fitness.
He said: “I chose to work with Cube3 after the team demonstrated their enthusiasm and vision for Purious.com, as well as Wizzed.com.”
Nick Morgan, who will be handling the account for Cube3, added: “It’s fantastic to collaborate with a client who is so inspiring after accomplishing so much at just 16.”

MANCHESTER marketing and events agency Journey9 has won an industry honour, as it was recognised as Best in Events at the Recommended Agency Register (RAR) Awards 2015 in London this week.
it was the third successive year of triumph for the Manchester agency.

DIGITAL agency Webtise has strengthened its fashion, beauty, homeware and lifestyle portfolio by securing six new contract wins.
The Wirral-based ecommerce specialists have been appointed by Salons Direct, THEhair and beauty wholesaler. The online retailer has invested in the agencies consultancy and marketing expertise to help improve their traffic, average order value and conversion rate.
Another recent sign up for the agency is the fast growing global online footwear brand, Public Desire. Public Desire joinS a growing portfolio of fashion based clients at Webtise who are required to grow new customers, increase average order frequency and improve the user experience on site.
Webtise’s four other online players are: Homeware retailer Rose & Grey, online skincare brand Kore Skincare, Europe´s largest supplier of professional instant shelters and exhibition equipment, Sun Leisure and wine merchants Cork’s Out.
