Cheshire recruiter looks to the East

CHESHIRE company Worldwide Recruitment Solutions is set launch its Asia hub in Singapore.

WRS’s move follows the successful launch in 2014 of its Kurdistan office and is aimed at servicing its clients’ needs in the Asia-Pacific region.

The Singapore office, on the 36th floor of the prestigious UOB building in the heart of the central business district, will open its doors in May.

It will enable WRS to grow its power, maritime and construction recruitment operations as well as supporting oil and gas offshore projects in APAC.

Managing director Mark Brown said: “It’s so exciting to be a part of the business during this period of rapid change and growth and we welcome the next stage of the company’s development.

“Our Singapore operation has already opened doors for us in the APAC region and we believe our presence there will improve the quality of service we can give to new and existing clients operating in Asia.”

WRS has appointed regional director Philip Shepherd, who will spearhead the launch and development of the Asia Pacific expansion.

Hep has many years’ experience working in the Asia Pacific region, with a strong background within recruitment and business operations management in oil and gas.

Supporting him will be business development manager Zue Ling, who has extensive APAC recruitment experience having previously worked with two of Asia’s leading consultancies.
