Appointments: JMW takes Blood from Brabners & more

LAW firm JMW Solicitors has appointed Mike Blood as its new head of corporate, in succession to Chris Moss who is joining a client in an in-house role.

Blood joins JMW as partner and head of corporate from Brabners in Manchester.  A respected lawyer, particularly in the sports sector, Blood was an equity partner at Brabners for nine years.

He has advised on investment structures in the digital, pharmaceutical and property sectors as well as sports finance field.  In his previous role as well as the corporate advice he advised several national professional football leagues on their structures and advised on the sale and distribution of broadcast rights across several major sporting events and advised numerous premiership footballers on their playing contracts.

Blood replaces JMW’s current head of corporate Chris Moss who is leaving the firm in July to for client Dolphin Capital.

PROPERTY and rating consultant Dunlop Heywood has announced four promotions for staff across its northern UK offices and Belfast team.

Christine Banks has become head of rates liability management in the Manchester office where Richard Scott has also become a senior surveyor.

Sophie Attwood has become surveyor in the Liverpool office and John Gowland is a new senior surveyor in Belfast.

Manaing director Stuart Hicks said: “We recently had a recruitment drive at DH on the back of a series of key business wins for the company. The latest promotions are in recognition of those who helped to bring on board these new clients or have made a significant contribution over the past 12 months.”
