Building firm Gallaway spreads its wings

CONSTRUCTION and civil-engineering firm Gallaway Construction has bought and moved into new premises in Manchester.

The company has relocated from Davyhulme to Carrington address The Old School House, a building which dates back to 1833 and is 10 times larger at 2,800sq ft, housing a workshop and offices as well as additional storage space.

The moved has been facilitated by a six-figure funding deal with NatWest.

Gallaway Construction was set up 12 years ago and supports a range of clients from construction contractors and industrial companies through to private clients.

Projects have included works on one of Europe’s largest water treatment plants, construction of hotels and schools, and rail and civil engineering schemes.

The business expects to create new jobs in the months ahead, doubling the size of the workforce over a period of 18 months.

Gallaway Construction director Ian Preston said: “We are seeking to develop key relationships with more commercial clients and design teams so having a building to base these operations is critical for us.

“By owning our new premises we will have the space we need to expand and grow for our long-term success.”

NatWest relationship manager Rob Dearsley advised Gallaway during the deal. He said: “The business continues to go from strength to strength, and I wish it every success for the future.”
