MD Burgess leaves Capital Properties

CAPITAL Properties, the property management company based in Manchester, has announced the departure of its managing director.
In a statement, Capital said Mark Burgess had resigned from the company on July 8 after having been suspended in June “pending an investigation”.
The company declined to elaborate on the reason for the alleged suspension, but added: “The business of Capital Properties (UK) will continue, and has the full support of its management and shareholders.
“Dave Lawson, finance director, will continue as interim managing director; Craig Sackfield as client director and Anthony Watson as director of operations.”
Mr Burgess said in his own statement: “Following a fundamental disagreement with the shareholders, my position became untenable.
“I have left behind some very talented individuals who, given the freedom, will go on to do exciting things. Personally, I have embarked on an unbelievable new challenge and will continue to push the boundaries of property and place making, giving all clients the best possible service and results.”
Mr Burgess’ wife Fran, who was communications director at Capital, has also recently left the business.
Capital Properties, which is based at Tower 12, Spinningfields, was previously known as the Spinningfields Management Company.
As well as property management it is also involved in marketing and events with contracts nationwide.
