Final call for Chorley investment forum

THE last few places remain for tomorrow’s free-to-attend event showcasing Chorley as a great location for business and investment.

Fronted by the House of Commons Deputy Speaker and Chorley MP Lindsay Hoyle and council leader Cllr Alistair Bradley, the Chorley New City Gateway seminar is taking place at the Bridgewater Hall in the city centre from 0730, beginning at 0800.

The seminar will feature presentations on the many excellent opportunities available in Chorley for developers, investors and companies wishing to expand. Click here to reserve your place now.

Among the propositions being presented are: the 49-acre site at Botany Bay at Junction 8 of the M61; Digital Health Village, a 32-acre development at Exton Lane linked to Lancaster University’s clinical research facilities; Evander Property’s Revolution Park distribution centre at Buckshaw Village and Orbit Development’s proposed new office scheme totalling 131,500 sq ft, also at Buckshaw Village.

Cllr Bradley said: “We are looking forward to the event, the council has made economic development one of its main priorities and has a team in place to make sure companies and developers interested in relocating to Chorley get all the support they need.

“We have a track record in delivering a range of prestigious redevelopment projects such as Buckshaw Village, one of the largest mixed-used schemes to be undertaken in the North West. Further exciting development sites are shortly to come to fruition as we enter a new phase of growth in our employment sites.”

The council’s economic development team will also be able to talk about the practical support available to businesses in the area.
