MCR out to reach new heights with Altitude

Middleton-based Altitude Group continues to grow revenue base in US business

PROPERTY investment and development company MCR Property Group has expanded its commercial property portfolio in South Manchester with the acquisition of Altitude, previously known as Oceanic House, a 45,415sq ft vacant office building close to Manchester Airport.

The building was purchased in October this year through commercial property agents Lambert Smith Hampton.

Located on Atlas Business Park, the building provides office accommodation over three floors with 231 on site car parking spaces.

Atlas business Park provides more than 225,000sq ft of office space with established occupiers including Vodafone and Simon Carves Engineering.

The new Metrolink linking Manchester Airport and Manchester city centre stops directly outside the property.

MCR Property Group has announced plans to invest heavily in the refurbishment of the building.

This will include an overhaul of the whole building to a Grade A standard and will also include a new modern reception area. The office accommodation is to be leased as a whole or on a floor-by-floor basis.

John Poole, head of commercial at MCR Property Group, said: “Altitude is an excellent addition to our Manchester portfolio. The South Manchester market seems void of quality Grade A accommodation of this size, and we plan to capitalise on this opportunity.

“We are planning a comprehensive refurbishment of the building, due to complete by February 2016.”
