National Grid selling off big chunk of land for housing

NATIONAL Grid is selling its 72-acre Heath Farm Lane site at Partington, Trafford in Manchester for a major residential scheme.

The site – five miles from Altrincham – is being marketed by Deloitte Real Estate which says is for purchase by informal tender and offers opportunities to develop in an area which has undergone extensive investment in its key amenities recently.

Deloitte director Angela Barnicle said: “Heath Farm Lane is regarded as a significant site in Trafford, and has the potential to play a key role in the area’s wider regeneration, by providing for a residential extension.

“We have already seen interest in developing the site to meet demand for quality residential space in the Greater Manchester area, supporting meaningful growth for both the local community and the ongoing city region strategy.”

Heath Farm Lane is being offered for sale freehold, with vacant possession upon completion.
