Big Mac delight burger joints bring 350 more jobs

THE opening of three new McDonald’s restaurants in Greater Mancheste is set to create up to 350 new jobs.

A new outlet in Ashton-Under-Lyne has already opened and will be followed by one in Piccadilly Gardens, Manchester next week and the third in Cheetham Hill early next year.

The restaurants will feature McDonald’s new state-of-the-art designs and offer digital menu boards, as well as tablet computers on some restaurant tables for customers to enjoy while they dine.

They will also offer customers the option to use either the traditional till services or new innovative self-order kiosks, allowing them to browse the entire menu and check out the nutritional information of each meal at the same time.

All three will be run by McDonald’s franchisee Roger Khoryati who owns and operates nine other McDonald’s restaurants across Manchester.

He said: “We’re thrilled to be opening here in Piccadilly Gardens after all the hard work, providing a welcome boost to the Manchester economy.

“It’s great that we have been able to offer so many jobs to local people.

“All staff will have access to McDonald’s industry leading training and development programmes. The new look restaurants show how we are committed to offering our customers’ more choice and fast service.

“Technology has a huge role to play in all walks of life, including our customers’ eating out experience, so the new tech we’ve introduced recognises the way people live their lives today.”
