Investar signs five-year deal for Deansgate

INVESTAR Property Group has signed a five-year lease on premises at 39 Deansgate, Manchester to accommodate growth.

IPG was established in 2006 by the award-winning entrepreneur Michael Dong, who will move his expanding team the company’s current premises at Salford Quays.

Daniel Woodcock, head of commercial property at Chafes Solicitors, acted and advised on the deal which sees IPG taking 2,500sq ft on the fifth floor at Deansgate. The landlord is Target Real Estate.

IPG is a property development, investment and asset management company and offers the services to both private and institutional clients home and abroad.

As part of its growth strategy, the company has recently recruited fund manager Matt Faherty from Brooks Macdonald and development manager Ross Lancaster, formerly head of operations at Fortis Lettings.

Chief executive Dong said: “The property market here in the UK is very buoyant; it is attracting new UK and overseas investors and we are uniquely positioned to help them.

“Coupled with our track record of creating opportunities for our clients through our property expertise and strong relationships both local and international, this has driven our growth, the need to expand our team and this move into larger premises.

“Chafes Solicitors, and Daniel Woodcock in particular, successfully completed the transaction against a very tight timescale and a number of challenges.”

Woodcock said: “Having worked with IPG on a number of projects over the past 18 months I have been impressed with their innovative and flexible approach to projects for their clients.

“Acquiring new premises will give them the space they require to continue expanding their team and we were pleased to advise this valued client on yet another real estate deal.”
