Accountancy firm snaps up HR consultancy

ACCOUNTANCY group RSM has snapped-up an HR consulting business with a Cheshire base.

The firm has bought Right Hand HR  for an undisclosed sum. Right Hand has 26 staff, turnover of £1.3m and operations in London, Newcastle, Chester and Exeter.

Services include human resource management, employment law compliance, payroll, recruitment, training, development, change management and health and safety. It has also developed a proprietary cloud-based HR IT system application, PeopleLog, designed to reduce clients’ administrative burden and staff management costs.

Right Hand HR managing director Steve Sweetlove will become a partner at RSM, while executive chairman Campbell Ritchie and technical services director Glenn Phillips will act as consultants to RSM and support the strategic development of Right Hand HR.

David Gwilliam, chief operating officer at RSM said: “Last year, turnover for RSM’s consulting business grew by 195%  and we see scope for further growth in the important HR consulting market. Right Hand HR will complement our existing HR consulting capability and provide our clients with a much wider suite of HR services.”
