People: Manchester Camerata; Manchester Growth Company; Digital Next
MANCHESTER Camerata has announced the appointment of composer Joe Duddell to its board of non-executive directors.
Duddell has a career as a successful composer, arranger, conductor and educator and heno stranger to working with Manchester Camerata.
In 2015 he was asked by Bernard Sumner to write the string arrangements for New Order’s Music Complete album, which he recorded with Camerata in April, prior to the album’s successful release in September.
Duddell said: “It is an honour and pleasure to join the board of the prestigious Manchester Camerata. The orchestra is in an exciting phase – engaging a wider audience and redefining what an orchestra is and can be to the Northwest and beyond.
“I look forward to working with the orchestra and fellow board members towards these and other goals.”

CLAIRE Braithwaite has been appointed as a tech adviser at Manchester Growth Company.
Formerly head of Tech North, she brings a wealth of industry knowledge and a sound understanding of Greater Manchester’s technology sector within the wider context of the North.
She will her experience to boost the work MGC does to benefit the region’s thriving tech community, in addition to representing Greater Manchester’s tech interest to new investors and informing and influencing public policy to support businesses in this space.
Braithwaite said: “I look forward to working for businesses and with colleagues across Greater Manchester and in attracting overseas businesses to locate here.”

GLOBAL search marketing agency Digital Next has appointed ex-
Google Specialist Vajinder Singh to join its Manchester based Paid
Search team.
The signing means there are now eight paid search specialists in the department.
After previously working with Digital Next’s paid search manager Sherline
Kumanan at Google, Singh’s transition has led to a natural progression
to agency life.
Singh’s previous role at Google involved helping support agencies that
had acquired Google accounts, as well as help them to pitch for new business.
