COMMERCIAL developer Trebor Developments has announced the start of phase one of Vision Park Burnley following the award to the partnership of infrastructure funding through the Lancashire LEP.

Working in partnership with Burnley Borough Council, Trebor Developments will be investing £1.7m of LEP funding in the infrastructure, bringing forward the 5.5 acre Vision Park site and will develop phase one industrial starter units and grow on industrial space extending to 34,500sq ft in total.  Phase one will be handed back to the Council on completion, for the Council to operate.

The scheme has detailed planning consent and it is anticipated that work on site will proceed start in autumn and is due for completion by summer 2017.

Two further phases of development will be available at Vision Park, providing either office or industrial accommodation on each plot of up to 30,000q ft.

Bob Tattrie, Managing Partner of Trebor Developments, said: “The securing of Lancashire LEP funding towards the infrastructure for the site is a milestone that will allow us to now bring forward Vision Park Burnley development on a viable basis.

“Phase pne will be delivered over the next 12 months and provide much needed employment accommodation within the area with units from 1,50 sq ft and fulfil a gap in the market which is not being brought forward through normal commercial development to provide start up space for SMEs”.

“Vision Park will provide a unique offer to advanced manufacturing and digital industries that can connect to the unrivalled manufacturing and robotic technologies in the adjacent education campus.”

“Burnley is becoming a regionally significant centre for advanced manufacturing and we are creating modern business environments to attract growing business in this sector, which will benefit from being based amongst businesses at the forefront of advanced manufacturing and digital industries.”

“Several blue chips companies have relocated to Burnley in the last couple of years.
