Craft beer and Indian street food outlet set to launch
A UNIQUE craft beer restaurant serving Indian street food is to open its second restaurant in Manchester this summer.
Bundobust was established in 2014 in Leeds, in a partnership between Mark Husak of Bradford’s Sparrow Bier Café and Mayur Patel, owner of Drighlington’s Prashad vegetarian restaurant – which found fame as a finalist on Gordon Ramsay’s Great British Restaurant.
In the two years since opening, the venue has become hugely popular for its street kitchen concept and menu, which is influenced by the vibrant street food scene of India, combined with an extensive list of the world’s best craft beer and hoppy India pale ales.
The Manchester restaurant will be located at 61 Piccadilly in the heart of the city centre and will seat 150 people.
The venue will undergo a £250,000 fit out and once complete it will bring more than 20 new jobs to the city.
Bundobust was advised by commercial property partner, Simon Mydlowski, from Yorkshire law firm Gordons, who negotiated a 15-year lease on the 3,950sq ft premises and provided guidance on the restaurant’s lease and licensing agreements.
Bundobust owner Mark Husak, said: “Manchester is the obvious next step for Bundobust and we were excited to finally get the keys.
“We have been looking around the site the last couple of weeks and our plans are looking great and we’re planning to be open by October. The site is in the ideal location in Piccadilly and is close to the busy train station & backs on to the Northern Quarter.”

Work on the fit out is expected to commence in July with the doors opening at the end of September 2016.
