Future rosy for beauty manufacturer as exports boost performance

BURY-based natural beauty products manufacturer Faith in Nature has had its best ever year, after 42 years of trading.
Turnover increased 15% to £3.8m, buoyed by a 78% increase in export sales, for the year to July 2016.
The company, which was founded in 1974 by natural health pioneer Rivka Rose, has recently agreed a deal to supply 600 of Dutch retail giant Ahold’s stores in the US.
Rose said: “The company was founded on eco-friendly principles before the term ‘eco’ was coined.
“Our green credentials inform every business decision we make and have stood us in good stead. We have a clear brand focus and it’s one that resonates with our trade partners and consumers alike.
“The decision to export, taken 12 years ago, has been significant; helping to cushion us against local market fluctuations.
“We are currently growing our retail base in the UK and expanding our export territories as a result of new product development and this will continue to fuel future growth.”
The company’s products include beauty and skin care ranges and a household cleaning range, which use ingredients that are vegetable based and animal-cruelty free.
The company has a loyal following in the independent health food sector but the brand is becoming increasingly well known on the high street with new customers introduced to the brand via retailers such as Holland & Barrett, Asda, Tesco Direct, Superdrug and Ocado.
