Transport Festival
The Birkenhead Park Festival of Transport returns to the town this weekend. The festival, what will take place on both Saturday and Sunday, will celebrate transport through the ages, from the Victorian and Edwardian era to the present day. There will be steam traction engines, brass bands, trade stands, vintage buses and steam boats for the family to enjoy. Find out more here.

Romeo and Juliet Romeo and Juliet
One of the most loved plays of all time arrives at Altrincham Garrick Theatre this week, with it bringing the tragic love story of the Montague and Capulet families. Art FairMacclesfield Art Fair
Now in its 10th year, the Macclesfield Art Fair returns this week. The event will showcase work by over 100 local artists, many of who have international reputations. The event, which has its last day on Saturday 25th September, will be donating over 35% of their sales to East Cheshire Hospice and will also play host to a range of talks and tours. Liverpool Royal Court will play host to Twopence to Cross the Mersey this week. The story follows a young girl and her family who are suddenly thrown into poverty.
